At the John Rylands University Library in Manchester England was found a collection of letters  that members of the Crowther family had written within the family  and in a few cases, there were letters sent to people outside the family. The letters begin in 1789 and end in the early 1823. They  give insight into family life during that period and reveal some family secrets.
